Explorers Summer Break & Etive Camp

Hi Guys

As most of you will know am going climbing in the Alps for the next couple of weeks including ascent of Pollux (4098m) by NW Ridge, Traverse of Alphubel (4208m) via SE Ridge, and also a Traverse of Mont Blanc - so there will be no Explorers (though feel free to meet up amongst yourself).

Explorers will start back on the 30 August 2010.

I have posted you all out a letter with details of the forthcoming camp to Glen Etive(07/08/10-08/08/10)along with a permission slip.

Please pass this on to anyone who might not get this.

BBQ this Friday

Hi All


For the BBQ this Friday we will be meeting @ the Scout Hall @ 6:30 sharp. From their we’ll be heading to Balmaha so if your parents are available to lend a hand with transport or just fancy a wee burger feel free to bring em’ along!

Painting The Den

Hey Guys

Remember we will be painting the Den tomorrow night, so no need for uniforms just WEAR OLD CLOTHES (that you don't mind getting covered in paint).

Additionally if you have any suitable posters or that you'd like for the Den feel free to bring them down.

Necropolis Tour

Hi Guys

Just a wee reminder of the Tour this Friday - bellow is a copy of the letter:-

On Friday the 14 May the Capie Scout Troop and Explorer Scout Unit will be going to the Glasgow Necropolis for a bespoke tour. The meeting point will be at the Gatehouse which is just inside the main gates into the Necropolis at Cathedral Square @ 6.20pm.



The tour will last for about 2hr 15min please arrange to collect your child at the Gatehouse at 8.45pm.



Uniforms and a strong walking boots or shoes are required!
